Seeing Pets.
Seeing Ourselves.
ONE BEHAVIOR
AT A TIME

Discover how understanding your pet can help you see the world—and relationships—in a whole new light.

As Seen On

What if understanding your pet’s behavior helped you understand more about the relationships that shape your life?

Behavior is a story waiting to be understood. Every action and reaction, every challenge carries meaning. And when we shift from managing behavior to understanding it, we open the door to connection and companionship, not just with our pets, but with ourselves and those around us.

As a board-certified veterinary behaviorist, speaker, and educator, I work at the intersection of science and relationships. Through my work at the Animal Behavior Clinic, my role as Vice President of Veterinary Behavior at Instinct Dog Behavior & Training, and my extensive speaking and teaching, I’ve helped thousands of people transform frustration into clarity, uncertainty into confidence, and conflict into connection.

Because the way we interact with animals mirrors how we engage with the world. When we pause to observe, when we replace reaction with reflection, everything shifts. When we slow down and observe with curiosity, we don’t just build better relationships with our pets. We build more thoughtful, connected relationships everywhere.

Let’s explore what behavior can teach us- together.

After one animal behaviorist dismissively recommended euthanasia for our dangerous dog, the doggy Gods led us to Dr. Pachel.

With his devoted guidance and support, we had 11 more incredibly happy years with our beloved Woody. He is simply THE best at what he does.

About

Dr. Pachel

Behavior is communication. And for as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by it.

I grew up surrounded by animals and people, learning how relationships shape the way we behave. That curiosity led me to become a board-certified veterinary behaviorist, blending veterinary medicine, psychology, and animal behavior into a career focused on helping pets and their people understand each other better.

When we understand behavior, we don’t just change our pets.
We change ourselves.
